Hannah “Daisy” Clarkson
Daisy studied Media Production at college and then went on to Theatre School where she studied Television, Theatre, Film and Radio. Thereafter she landed her first media job in Portsmouth working for the local radio station as the sports guru (!) before moving on to full-time presenting.
Daisy has seven years of UK radio industry experience under her belt. After hosting quite a few shows along the south coast of England, including national digital stations, a change of scenery was in order. She wanted to see how it all worked on the other side of the world and the lure of Dubai’s bright lights was too good an offer to turn down!
Rakesh Thomas
Hailing from God’s Own Country in India, Rakesh was brought up in the desert sands of Sharjah. Ever since English Radio started off in the UAE, he tuned his “fine feathered ears” to western music which soon began to take grips of his multi-cultural background. After finishing his Bachelors in English Literature in Madras Christian College, Rakesh furthered his education by taking a Postgraduate degree in Multimedia Journalism from Bournemouth University in the UK.
It all broke loose ever since after years of living life the English way working and temping in different jobs doing all sorts of work.. He then returned to a changed UAE to contemplate on future plans… Along came Radio 2 knocking on Heavens Door!!
