With music in his blood and funk in his soul, Charl Chaka’s raw energy and talent has taken him from top clubs in London to Cape Town, DJ residencies in Dubai to guest slots in Bahrain and back. He soared effortlessly into the international dance music scene, having shared the spotlight with legendary heavyweights such as Armand van Helden, Fatboy Slim, Derrick Carter, Kenny Dope, Jay J, Inland Knights, Gilles Peterson, Mark Farina, DJ Sneak and Dennis Ferrer to name but a few. He has championed a distinct deep, funky jackin’ house sound and to this day is credited as being the 1st DJ to introduce this sound to Dubai. He recently mixed a compilation called OM: Dubai, a double CD with Andy Caldwell who received rave reviews. As the owner of Infusion Magazine and behind the successful Nasimi Full Moon Beach under his belt, Charl is one who like to keep busy in scene
