Manama: Bahrain’s Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa returned home on Thursday afternoon undergoing successful medical tests abroad.
King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa received Prince Khalifa at the airport before he was given a remarkably warm welcome by people who greeted him as his motorcade headed from Muharraq in the north of the country to Riffa in the centre.
Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, government officials and senior figures in Bahrain were also at the airport to welcome Prince Khalifa.
King Hamad congratulated the Prime Minister on his return him, wishing him steady health, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The king also lauded the “pioneering role of Prince Khalifa and his outstanding contributions to the development and prosperity of Bahrain in all areas,” the news agency said.
King Hamad also praised Prince Khalifa’s leadership and his consolidation of Bahrain’s achievements through strategies and development projects, BNA said.
