Burj Khalifa picture competition winners

History was made on January 4, with the opening of Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower - and Gulf News readers were at the scene, with eyes and camera shutters wide open. The newspaper's photo department selected the top three photographs and seven runners-up from the hundreds sent in. The selection was based on composition, perspective, clarity, framing, contrast and lighting. Presenting the 10 images that best captured the magic.
