One-stop souq for gold bargains
The traditional Gold Souq in Deira is one of the most visited attractions in Dubai. Tourists and residents throng the souq every day in a quest for good bargains on gold and jewellery or simply wander around, captivated by the glittering window displays of more than 300 shops with their jewellery of various hues and sizes. Staff photographer Zarina Fernandes does the rounds of the market and captures a different perspective of life in the world of gold
