Return of the Samurai: Japan relives ancient battle
The samurai clothes come out as the Japanese re-enact the Battle of Kawanakajima, which was fought in mid 16th century, in Fuefuki, Yamanashi Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, between warlords Takeda Shingen of Kai Province and Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo Province. Kawanakajima to Japanese is what Gettysburg or Waterloo is to Americans or French.
