Boryeong Mud Festival in pictures
The annual Boryeong Mud Festival, which runs from July 14-24 aims to encourage the use of mud for cosmetic skin-care and to promote tourism in the region. About 2 to 3 million domestic and international tourists visit the Daecheon beach in Boryeong, about 190 km southwest of Seoul, during the festival. The 15th annual mud festival also features mud wrestling, mud sliding and a mud king contest.
