As the debate over the demand to ban Pakistani actors in India after the Uri terror attack rages, playback singer Shaan said the artist exchange won’t be missed much in India.

“They [cross-border artists] have been banned and I respect that decision, anyway the artist exchange has always been one-sided exchange, which we will not miss much. These are my thoughts,” he said.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena recently raised objections over Pakistani artists working in the Indian film industry after the Uri attack.

Also, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban the work permits of Pakistani artists until the problem between the two countries is resolved.

Shaan will be performing live at a concert on October 15 at Phoenix Marketcity in Kurla.

“There’s always a nervous energy before an event, no matter how often you perform. I’m quite thrilled to perform. It’s going to be amazing,” he added.

The Bum Bum Bole hitmaker will be singing a mash-up of old classics, English songs and latest chartbusters along with his own hits.
