Very Intresting Question raised by GN. I feel that This depends on the number of holidays we get. the more holidays we get the more time we spent partying, clubbing and socializing with familys and friends. Some employees come to work On sunday after their long weekends so tired , lazy and i hate it when i see them looking so dull. Even when i am on calls with clients, some of them dont have the energy to even greet you. Its the first day of the week so thats when a person should get rejuvinated instead of getting sick and just vending it out for the sake of having fun. Yes, having fun is important but it should not go to such an extent that you come into work next day making the others look sick as it does hamper the work and the whole office. Incase i get a long weekend, I only spent a day out partying based on my mood and on the day before getting to work i just save my energy as i know i would be having loads of work to do. If i am a boss i would ensure that the staff takes an off , gets back to work with a lot of energy and stamina. that is one reason why i hate having too many holidays. As x mas and New year is just around the coner i will ensure that i take care of my self and at the same time have fun with my family and relatives.
