Unnecessary
Gulf News, you have outdone yourself once again with such images that should never be allowed, nor displayed on social media (‘43 dead in suicide attack in Yemen capital: medics’, Gulf News, October 9). Where is the respect and decorum for the dead? Seriously disappointing.

Some respect
Do you have to show such an image? Show a little respect for the dead!

Too much
At least blur the image. You cannot show such a graphic image on a page like this.

Not the first
This is regarding an error in the Opinion comment on the Nobel Peace Prize winners (‘Standing tall against children’s oppression’, Gulf News, October 12). The author mentioned twice that Malala Yousufzai is the first Pakistani to get the Nobel Prize. Please note that theoretical physicist Mohammad Abdus Salam is the first Pakistani Nobel laureate. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979, for his contribution to electroweak unification. He remained a Pakistani citizen till his death, though there were many other countries that were ready to give him citizenship. I request you to correct this factual error or at least pass on this information to the writer.
From Mr Nayyir Ahmad

The context of the comment was the awarding of the Nobel ‘Peace’ Prize. In the same vein, the writer tells us that even Mahatma Gandhi did not receive it. To put in further context, one Indian, Mother Teresa, has got the Peace prize before.
