Focus: Children and pop culture

At a time when most child- and teen-based entertainment is focusing on tantrums, has bad behaviour become acceptable if it gets you popular?

When shows like Toddlers in Tiaras, 16 and pregnant and Teen Mom become the daily dose of entertainment for young and old people alike, the concept of what is okay to do and what isn't can change dramatically.

How are today's children supposed to understand what healthy behaviour is and what is acceptable and unacceptable to do in society, when the Honey Boo Boo Child has become the new child celebrity?
