Efficiency of Abu Dhabi Municipality's facilities will be critical for success of plan.
The initiative taken by the Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) to upgrade and modernise its services is a welcome step. This is being said given that the emirate is carrying out major changes in its infrastructure as well as establishing for grand future projects.
Hence, the efficiency of municipal services on offer will be critical for the success of any given project.
The ADM authority has recently unveiled its strategic plan for 2008-2012 and the goal, according to the municipality's General Manager Juma Al Junaibi, is to improve the community services being offered to the emirate's residents and visitors.
Accordingly, new services are to be introduced, including a scheme of an integrated service, and greater public participation would be allowed.
The plan would be able to reap positive results only if it continuously and consistently keeps in focus efficiency, effectiveness and customer satisfaction as its main driving force for change.
