Kind and caring step by the UAE
The country champions the noble cause of health care for needy foreign children.
The UAE has a track record that is exemplary when it comes to its sponsorship of various aid and humanitarian projects. Such an approach is not only commendable, but also encouraging because of its universal appeal.
It is a model to be followed for such projects at the global stage. One of the country's most promising humanitarian projects is its reception of children who are in need of medical treatment and are flown in from various countries to the UAE.
The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), in particular, has been spearheading such activities.
Recently, the RCA has supervised the treatment of 68 patients from Iraq. Earlier, a similar project was also launched to treat Palestinian children. In many cases, along with the patients their families were also flown in.
This approach and kind of care is a noble cause that should be championed, as the UAE has perfected the art of giving.
