Clinton can't go on like this
It is time for the former first lady to exit gracefully from the presidential race.
Hillary Clinton has fought really one tough battle against Barak Obama. But unfortunately for the US Democratic Party, she doesn't know when to call it quits. She seems determined to continue the fight, refusing to exit gracefully, even though the numbers show a win is unrealistic.
Obama, who leads her by every key metric including pledged delegates and the popular vote, is gaining enough momentum to win the nomination.
"Now I may stumble and get knocked down, but I will always get right back up and I will never quit until this job is done," Clinton told a small cheering crowd the other day.
And in order to achieve that, she is now increasingly seen as employing dirty tactics, including a controversial focus on race. Her recent statement about white voters not supporting Obama has only increased pressure on her to bow out.
Even The New York Times, which initially endorsed Clinton, urged her in an editorial to give up. It is time for her to throw in the towel.
