US policies in the world: A total of 42 per cent of respondents said that US policies had made the world a "somewhat worse place" to live in while 23 per cent said it has become a "much worse place".
In particular, by a majority of 74 per cent, British respondents said American policies in the Middle East have brought about greater instability to the region.
In addition, a majority believed that Bush is not a good leader. A total of 43 per cent of respondents said he is a "terrible leader" while 34 per cent said that he is a "pretty poor" leader.
American culture: Even though 40 per cent of respondents said that American culture has made the world a somewhat "worse place" to live in, a good 33 per cent said that it made it a "better place" to live in.
