In a recent circular sent by the Ministry of Health and Prevention withdrawing some food supplements, aphrodisiacs, slimming gels and medicines and contact lenses from the market, the ministry has clarified that in case of contact lenses only one batch of Acuvue contact lenses were withdrawn.
Dr Amir Hussain Al Amiri, assistant undersecretary for public health and licensing at the ministry, further clarified that only the following batch of contact lenses were recalled:
ACUVUE® OASYS® Brand Contact Lenses for ASTIGMATISM with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Manufactured by: Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc, pack of six lenses; lot no BC 6.D/1.75D/170, Product specification: B00GW4Z
