Ras Al Khaimah: One person was killed and three others injured in a car crash in Ras Al Khaimah, police said.
Colonel Ebrahim Mohammad Mattar, director of Al Rams police station, said police received a call at about 2.30am reporting the incident .
Police said the driver was driving from Al Nakheel toward Al Rams area and coming across a detour at the curve of a road, the driver lost control of his vehicle, which crashed into a road barrier before overturning. The car had four passengers, who were taken to the nearest hospital.
Police said one passenger, from the Gulf and aged 30, died, while three others, including the driver, sustained moderate to critical injuries and were being treated at the hospital, they added.
The body of the deceased was moved to the hospital’s morgue and will be handed over to his relatives for burial.
Col. Matter appealed to drivers to abide by traffic rules for their own safety.
