Bollywood actor Omkar Kapoor says his film with actor-director Sohail Khan is on hold and will begin production this year.

Soon after his hit film Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, there were reports that the actor had bagged his second film, tentatively titled My Punjabi Nikaah, to be produced by Khan.

Asked about the project, Kapoor said, “Well that is as of now on hold. That will probably happen sometime later. As of now, that is not happening this year.

“I would like not to discuss any of the details, it is too early,” he added.

According to reports, the film is about a young Mumbai boy who falls in love with a Muslim girl from London and is reportedly inspired by My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

The actor is currently excited about his web series with Web Talkies’, You Me Aur Ghar.

The eight-episode long series deals with the journey of a young couple who is looking to buy a house in Mumbai but in the process realises that a home is more about commitment and trust than just romance.

“They pitched the idea of the show to me and since I wanted to do something in the web series space, because I know it is the next big thing, I was on board. It is a very relatable idea, I know people could connect to it,” said Kapoor.

According to Kapoor, the digital space is an exciting medium for an actor. “It is the best medium right now. Web series is a lot more experimental, there is a lot of freedom, there is not much of censorship in terms of language and the story. It gives the opportunity to be more real,” he said.

The romantic-comedy show will air on November 10.
