Dubai: Paid parking hours across Dubai will remain unchanged during the month of Ramadan, which starts next week, the Roads and Transport

Authority (RTA) announced on Tuesday.

New paid parking hours came into effect across zones A, B, C, D and G, stretching from 8am to 10pm from Saturday to Thursday.

In Zone E, which is the Deira Fish Market area, the paid hours will extend till 11pm and the paid parking timings in Tecom areas will be from 6am to 8pm.

The usual fares will be applicable daily round-the-clock at the multilevel parking buildings.

Service hours for RTA’s bus, tram and metro services will also remain unchanged, with the metro running from 5.30am to 12 midnight during weekdays and extending up to 1am on weekends.

During Ramadan, Dubai Tram will continue to operate from 6.30am to 1am from Saturday to Thursday and on Friday the service timing will continue to be from 9am to 1am.

However, changes have been made to the timings of marine transit modes. The water bus at the Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace and Marina Promenade) will operate from 12 noon to 12 midnight.

The water taxi service at the Marina Station will run from 2pm to 10pm. At Al Ghubaiba station and the Palm Jumeirah Atlantis area the water taxis will operate from 4pm to 10pm. At Jumeirah Rixos Palm the water taxis will operate from 11am to 5pm.

Dubai Ferry will operate from Al Ghubaiba station at 11am and 6.30pm, and from the Marina station at 11am, 5pm and 6.30pm.

The traditional abra at Dubai Creek stations will operate from 10am up to midnight.

The blue Abra will operate at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall from 8am to 11pm, Al Mamzar abra from 8pm to 2am the following day, Atlantis Abra from 1pm to 9pm, and the air-conditioned abra at Al Jaddaf station will operate at Dubai Festival City from 7am to midnight.

Service timings will also change for RTA’s customer service centres. Umm Al Rumool, Al Barsha, Deira and Al Karama centres will remain open from 9am to 2pm. Al Twar, Al Manara and Al Aweer centres will operate from 9am to 5pm, and Jumeirah (JBR) Centre will open from 10am to 3pm, Sunday to Thursday.

Timing for RTA-affiliated vehicle testing centres.

Tasjeel Al Tawar, Mumayaz Car Testing, Wasel Car Testing (Al Jaddaf, Arabian Centre, Nad Al Hammar) will work in split shifts from 9am to 3pm and from 9pm to 2am the following day.

Shamil Al Adid, Al Muhaisnah, and Shamil Nad Al Hamar, Al Ghandi (Tamam), and Cars Testing Centre will also work in split shifts from 9am to 3pm and 9pm to 12 midnight.

Tasjeel Hatta will remain open from 8am to 2pm, while Tasjeel Jebel Ali will open for business from 8am to 4pm.

Tasjeel Al Ghusais will also have split working hours, operating from 8am to 5pm and then from 8pm to 3am the following day.

Tasjeel Al Warsan and Tasjeel Al Barsha will open for business from 8am to 4pm and from 9pm to 2am of the following day.

Quick Car Testing will open from 8am to 5pm and from 9pm to 3am of the following day.

Mumayaz Car Testing (Al Barsha Mall) will open for business from 9am to 3pm and from 9pm to 1am.

Platinum Centre will also operate from 9am to 1am, with a break from 3pm to 8pm.
