Shooting rampage in US university kills 22
At least 22 people have been killed and over 21 injured after a gunman opened fire in a dorm and classroom at Virginia Tech univerisity in Virginia, US, on Monday before shooting himself dead.
Blacksburg, Virginia: At least 22 people have been killed and over 21 injured after a gunman opened fire in a dorm and classroom at Virginia Tech univerisity in Virginia, US, on Monday before shooting himself dead.
Virginia Tech police chief Wendell Flinchum said it was unclear if the assailant was a student, but said that a number of the victims were.
Virginia Tech President Charles Steger said, "Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportions,".
He added that the university was in the process of informing the next of kin of those killed.
