Reward offered after rare two-headed turtle stolen in New York
A reward of more than $1,000 is being offered to return a rare two-headed turtle stolen from its tank on Monday.
New York: A reward of more than $1,000 was being offered on Tuesday for the return of a rare two-headed turtle stolen from its tank.
The turtle was taken on Sunday evening, and was supposed to be part of the Daily News's contest on Monday to name the two-headed pet.
Sean Casey, owner of the Sean Casey Animal Rescue pet supply store in Brooklyn said the turtle was sent to him by a man in Florida who was unable to care for it.
"We just want the turtle back," Casey said Monday. "We're worried about his health."
The turtle had been on display for the past few weeks and was getting a lot of attention, but Casey said he made clear it was not for sale.
