US President George W. Bush makes his key speech of the Middle East trip, in which he slams Iran for being "the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism".
Monday, January 14: US President George W. Bush visits Dubai. Later on Monday, he heads for Saudi Arabia.
Sunday, January 13: Bush arrived in Abu Dhabi. He met President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, upon arrival at the airport. He makes his key speech of the Middle East trip, in which he slams Iran for being "the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism".
Saturday, January 12: Bush travels to Kuwait, where he has a meeting with General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker, Commanding General and Chief of Mission in Iraq.
Friday, January 11: The president and his entourage visit Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Museum in Occupied Jerusalem.
Thursday, January 10: Bush has a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He sums up meetings with both sides in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute by stating that a peace accord will require "painful political concessions" by each.
Wednesday, January 9: Bush has a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Olmert on Wednesday after touching down in the Middle East.
Tuesday, January 8: US President George W. Bush boards Air Force One and travels to Israel, the first stop on his Middle East trip. His other stops are West Bank, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
