Washington: Hillary Clinton clinched three of the four primaries in the Democratic race on Tuesday, raising the momentum for her nomination bid once again.
The former first lady seized Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, denting Barack Obama's month long winning streak.
Clinton's wins have effectively halted Barack Obama's seemingly unstoppable momentum, and have brought life back to her weakening contest.
Clinton justifiably relished her wins Tuesday, her first after 11 losses to Barack Obama since February 5.
Clebrating her much awaited and highly cherished wins, she said: "We're going on, we're going strong and we're going all the way."
But questions still remain whether she will be able to close the bridging gap between her and the Illinois senator's delegate count.
After Tuesday's polls, Clinton currently stands at 1,376 delegates, trailing behind Obama's 1,466.
Meanwhile, Obama gained victory in Vermont and told supporters that he was confident of his selection as Democratic nominee despite Tuesday's results.
He added: "No matter what happens tonight, we have nearly the same delegate lead as we did this morning, and we are on our way to winning this nomination."
