A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Indian Ocean, northeast of India's Andaman Islands on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey reported.

Washington: A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Indian Ocean, northeast of India's Andaman Islands on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey reported.
The temblor had a depth of 24.2 miles, USGS said.
No tsunami warning had been issued.
