$40,000 sparkler in US parking lot
A couple from suburban Fairfax County, Virginia, find missing diamond ring abandoned in a parking lot at a mall.
Washington: Anyone missing a diamond ring?
A couple from suburban Fairfax County, Virginia, might have found it. Coated in dirt. Abandoned in a parking lot at a mall.
Keith Stetzer, 46, was in the parking lot finishing up a cigarette recently when he noticed the solitaire ring.
He would not find out until days later that the diamond was worth about $40,000 (Dh146,800). He only knew that he should try to find the owner. The couple took the ring to the Mervis Diamond Centre in Tysons. They are now helping in the search.
Meanwhile, Keith Stetzer said, all the possible scenarios of the ring's fate have rolled through his mind. A bad divorce? An insurance scam? Still nobody has claimed ownership.
