London: A man arrested in connection with a long-running child abuse inquiry at a former care home in Jersey has been released without charge, police said on Friday.
The 50-year-old was the fourth man to be arrested as part of the investigation centring on the Haut de la Garenne home.
"This man has now been released without charge, pending further enquiries into a number of serious crimes," a police spokeswoman said.
The inquiry is looking into allegations of child abuse on the island over several decades.
Police found bone fragments and milk teeth during extensive searches of the house's cellar after people contacted them to say they were sexually abused at the home.
