Manila: Muslim insurgents yesterday denied involvement in a bombing in the Maguindanao province where its governor barely escaped, but killed seven people, most of them his security men, and wounded 10 others.
The Moro Islamic Liberation Front also has filed a protest against the military for allegedly violating a three-year-old truce, a spokesman for the group said yesterday.
Artillery fire
Eid Kabalu said the protest was filed with the joint ceasefire committee on Friday evening. Kabalu said Army artillery men fired at least 10 howitzer rounds on MILF positions around Shariff Aguak on Friday afternoon.
