Cory Aquino seriously ill, allies hold prayer for healing
Political allies and supporters of former Philippine President Corazon C. Aquino, held a prayer service for the recovery of the icon of the 1986 People Power revolution who is battling colon cancer, a local paper said.

"Tita (Aunt) Cory is conscious. She can talk and pray, but she's not well. It's serious," a family friend told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Aquino underwent surgery last April.
