Arroyo declares war on Moros
Philippine President Gloria Arroyo convened an emergency meeting yesterday and declared war against Moro rebels after attacks by renegades from the group in southern Philippines left 21 more dead.
Manila: Philippine President Gloria Arroyo convened an emergency meeting yesterday and declared war against Moro rebels after attacks by renegades from the group in southern Philippines left 21 more dead.
"Because of these sneaky attacks, as commander-in-chief, I have ordered the armed forces... and the... police to defend every inch of... territory against MILF forces and immediately restore peace..." Arroyo said.
