Islamabad: The body of a US diplomat was found by Pakistani authorities in Islamabad on Monday. Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz said authorities were investigating what they suspected was a case of suicide.
The US embassy named the dead man as Keith Ryan, and said he had "passed away" on Monday morning. It said his family had been informed.
The embassy said in a brief statement, "There will be a full investigation, however, there does not appear to have been any foul play."
Pakistani television news channels reported the man had suffered a gunshot wound, and was found at his home on a leafy avenue close to the diplomatic enclave in the Pakistani capital.
