Seven month old survived the attack and was admitted to hospital
Karachi:An unemployed man slaughtered two of his sons before turning the knife on himself in Kharian city of Punjab province.
Reports says he was frustrated from not finding work and the poverty that resulted from it.
Nadeem Sadiq slit the throats of his three sons including four-year-old Mohammad Qasim and three-year-old Mohammad Najeel who died on the spot. The third son, Mohammad Zia, only seven months old survived the cut and was admitted to hospital.
Sadiq cut his throat too but survived. He has been unemployed for many months, a source said.
Meanwhile, at least seven people including a woman were killed on Wednesday in a new wave of killings in Karachi. Tortured and dumped bodies were found in different parts of this mega city and some were shot dead in the streets. Four others including a girl were also injured.
Police said that a body of a woman was found from Khuda Ki Basti, a slum in Sarjani Town. The body was shifted to mortuary and investigation was going on.
In North Karachi’s sector 5-C/2 unknown men opened fire on a van killing the driver. In another incident of firing near Korangi crossing a man whose name was Qaiser gunned down whereas two other men were injured who were rushed to a hospital.
A body was found from the Cattle Colony whereas another body was recovered from Juna Market, the old town area.
From Malir City, two men who were going to picnic, were kidnapped.
Later a body was found with its hands and feet knotted and were identified as one of the abducted man whose name was Raja Pervez.
Another was released by the kidnappers after torturing him badly.
Near Machar Colony stop, a bullet ridden body was found that was tortured before shooting.
In Malir area, a girl got injured from a strayed bullet whereas an bomb explosion frightened people in Mangopir area in western district.
