Teachers and students still missing in northwest Pakistan
Dozens of students and teachers from a cadet college in northwest Pakistan were still missing, school authorities said on Wednesday, a day after the military announced that 80 people affiliated with the school - including nine teachers - had been rescued.

Hundreds of students of Ramzak Cadet College were reportedly abducted by suspected Taliban militants on Monday while travelling to the town of Bannu in buses.
Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said 47 students and five teachers were still unaccounted for, according to the Waqat private television channel.
The vice-principal of the college, Javed Alam, earlier told the media that 45 students and two teachers were still missing.
He said those who arrived in Bannu safely had reported that they were able to escape in their buses when militants fled after a gun battle with the security forces.
