"The operation is still going on," a military spokesman in Swat said, dismissing reports that fighter jets had carried out the bombing raids.
The army went on the offensive after clashes between security forces and militants broke out in the Koza Bande area of the valley.
“We're targeting militant positions with artillery in retaliation," he said.
