Pakistan shuts down illegal pro-militant radio stations
Pakistan's military issued a statement on Friday saying it shut down three illegal FM radio stations and also seized seven suspects in the Swat valley where troops have been struggling pro-Taliban militants.
Islamabad: Pakistan's military issued a statement on Friday saying it shut down three illegal FM radio stations and also seized seven suspects in the Swat valley where troops have been struggling pro-Taliban militants.
The statement said that the the stations were shut down for broadcasting militant messages.
Weapons, ammunition, audio cassettes and "provocative literature" were also confiscated.
