Pakistan arrests 124 in raids on groups tied to Mumbai attacks
Islamabad: A Pakistani official says 124 people have been arrested in a crackdown on groups allegedly linked to the attacks in Mumbai, India.
However, Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik reiterated on Thursday that Pakistan still needs more information from India to allow it to prosecute suspects in courts.
India blames Pakistan for the November attack on its commercial center that killed 164 people.
Malik dodged a question on whether Pakistan was admitting militants from its soil staged the attack, saying evidence was still needed.
He said the crackdown was in response to the UN's branding of a charity as a front for an outlawed militant group alleged linked to the attacks.
