Peshawar: At least 18 people were killed when a bomb struck an air force bus in Peshawar on Tuesday, Pakistani security officials said.
The attack took place near an airforce base on the outskirts of the city.
The provincial police chief said the toll from the "improvised explosive device" had now risen to the 18.
"We have reports that six people were killed. It was near Badaber," a security official said earlier.
Another police officer said the bomb was planted on a bridge and went off as the vehicle drove over it.
"About 18 PAF (Pakistan Air Force) employees were travelling to the base when the bomb planted on the bridge went off," said police officer Ghulam Mohammad.
