Bomb blast at hotel kills one in southwest
Police clueless about attack in remote town.
Quetta: A bomb exploded at a small hotel in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday, killing one person, police said.
It was not immediately clear what kind of a bomb exploded in Kolhu, a remote town about 200km east of Quetta, the capital of southwestern Balochistan province. Gulam Fareed, an area police chief, said they were still investigating how the bomb was taken into the hotel and trying to find out the identity of the dead man.
The region has witnessed several attacks in recent years, most blamed on ethnic nationalist groups who press the government for getting more royalty on resources extracted from the territories.
