Police have detained 100 supporters of the Balochistan National Party during the last two days in an attempt to stop them from causing law and order problems during planned protests, a senior official said.
Karachi: Police have detained 100 supporters of the Balochistan National Party during the last two days in an attempt to stop them from causing law and order problems during planned protests, a senior official said.
The BNP has announced plans to stage a series of protest rallies in different cities and towns of Balochistan this month.
The final rally, which the BNP called its grand show, was scheduled for December 11 in the provincial capital Quetta.
On Tuesday, the BNP leader Nawab Akhtar Mengal was placed under house arrest.
