Tokyo evacuates 16,000 to defuse wartime bomb
At least 16,000 residents were evacuated on Sunday while a bomb squad defused an unexploded bomb from the Second World War, Kyodo News reported.
Tokyo: At least 16,000 residents were evacuated on Sunday while a bomb squad defused an unexploded bomb from the Second World War, Kyodo News reported.
It took two hours for the Ground Self-Defence Force members to remove the fuse of the bomb.
The Chofu city government later declared the area safe.
