Ankara: Turkish secularists held a rally in Ankara on Saturday to protest the government's move to lift the headscarf ban, a newspaper reported.
As many as 10,000 secularists and representatives from non-governmental organisations gathered in Ankara's Sihhiye square.
The protest comes a week after more than 100,000 gathered at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Turkey's secularist founder, to protest against the changes.
Parliament held the second round of voting on an amendment in the constitution that scrapped the decades-old ban on wearing headscarves in universities.
