Sarkozy to sue Ryanair over advert
Budget airline Ryanair are being summoned to court by President Nicolas Sarkozy and his girlfriend Carla Bruni over a photo of them featured in a new ad campaign, said their lawyer on Wednesday.
Paris: Budget airline Ryanair are being summoned to court by President Nicolas Sarkozy and his girlfriend Carla Bruni over a photo of them featured in a new ad campaign, said their lawyer on Wednesday.
The couple was smiling dreamily in the photo with a caption next to Bruni saying "With Ryanair, my whole family can come to my wedding".
The photo was taken without the permission of the couple and a hearing will be scheduled on Thursday in a Paris court.
Since Ryanair violated the couple's privacy, Sarkozy is seeking a figurative sum of one euro in damages whereas Bruni demands 740,500 dollars.
