One killed in suicide bomb attack in Colombo
One person has been killed and two injured in a suicide bomb attack in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo.
Colombo: One person has been killed and two injured in a suicide bomb attack in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo.
The woman blew herself up after being stopped from entering the offices of Welfare Minister Douglas Devananda.
Mr Devananda was unhurt in the explosion.
Blame for the attack has been attributed to Tiger Tamil rebels and come one day after their leader Velupillai Prabhakaran said it was naïve to hope for peace.
