Olympic torch flame put out in China relay
An over-enthusiastic crowd forced authorities to put out the Olympic torch passing through China, state press reported on Sunday.
Beijing: An over-enthusiastic crowd forced authorities to put out the Olympic torch passing through China, state press reported on Sunday.
Crowds broke through security cordons during the torch relay in the eastern city of Wenzhou, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
The flame was temporarily extinguished and the torchbearer stopped due to safety considerations, shortening the relay, the newspaper reported.
