Nigeria worst for pirate attacks
The world’s maritime watchdog has said Nigeria has overtaken Indonesia as the country worst plagued by sea pirates.
Kuala Lumpur: The world's maritime watchdog has said Nigeria has overtaken Indonesia as the country worst plagued by sea pirates.
The International Maritime Bureau said seafarers across the world suffered 49 attacks between January and March.
That figure was up 20 percent from the 41 recording in the same period last year.
The body said Nigeria did not have effective law enforcement against sea pirates.
