Mexico City: A small submarine smuggling drugs in the Pacific Ocean was found by Mexican troops on Wednesday, the military said.
The craft was spotted by a military plane about 225 kilometers south of the tourist resort Huatulco, and led to a three-hour-chase.
The green-coloured submarine was at least 10 meters long, and was believed to be carrying cocaine.
Special forces swooped on to the submarine when it came up to the surface, and restrained the crew of four.
The military is being increasingly used to fight drug smugglers who move South American cocaine through Mexico and into the US.
