Moscow: Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday that a decision by the United States to impose sanctions on Russia's state arms exporter was short-sighted and would not significantly affect Russia.
"I consider such sanctions as short-sighted," Medvedev said. "It is unscrupulous competition, simply an attempt to close doors for the supplier and the main thing is that for us this decision can hardly be felt. And that must be taken into account by those who took this decision."
Washington this month announced sanctions against state arms exporter Rosoboron export for alleged sales of sensitive technology to Iran. Russia says its sales conform to all international agreements.
