Five Turk soldiers and 16 PKK rebels killed in continued clashes
The latest clashes bring the death toll 13 since the start of the land offensive to 13.
Ankara: Five Turkish soldiers have been killed in clashes with PKK Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq on Sunday, a Turkish security source said, bringing the death toll among government troops since the start of their land offensive to 13.
The source told a Reuters reporter that 16 more PKK rebels had also been killed in Sunday's clashes, adding that heavy fighting was continuing in 15 different locations across the remote, mountainous region.
