Danish newspapers republish Prophet Mohammad cartoons
Denmark's leading daily newspapers have republished one of the cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad that sparked global anger amongst Muslims.

Copenhagen: Denmark's leading daily newspapers have republished one of the cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad that sparked global anger amongst Muslims.
Five newspapers, including the Jyllands-Posten which originally published the cartoons in September 2005, used the image after a Danish citizen of Moroccan descent and two Tunisians were arrested for planning to murder cartoonist Kurt Westergaard.
Berlingske Tidende, BT, Politiken and Ekstra Bladet also republished Westergaard's cartoon.
Three Danish embassies were attacked and at least 50 people were killed in rioting in 2006 in the Middle East, Africa and Asia after the publications of the cartoons.
An editorial in left-leaning Politiken called the murder plot "shocking and troubling."
"Their plans to kill Kurt Westergaard... are not just an attack on Westergaard but an attack on our democratic culture.
"That is why Politiken today... prints the drawing, even though at no time have we sympathised with Jyllands-Posten's provocation,'' the editorial added.
