Nazran: At least two people were killed and five wounded when a car exploded outside a police station in the southern Russian region of Ingushetia on Wednesday.

Police said an explosive device blew up under a vehicle in a parking lot full of service cars outside police headquarters in Nazran, the region's main city. Police is currently investigating the case.

Attacks, shootouts and bombings occur frequently in Ingushetia, an impoverished Russian region in the Caucasus mountains. Much of the violence has been aimed at police and judges.
