The naked body of a Danish tourist with deep wounds has been found in a suburb in the Ugandan capital Kampala, the police said Thursday.

Ugandan police suspect the man may have committed suicide.
"I can confirm that a Danish citizen is dead. Since it's a police case, I cannot give you more details," said Lotte Grave, press officer at the Danish embassy in Kampala.
According to a local newspaper, Bukedde, the 35 -year-old man arrived in the country over a month ago and was staying in a backpacker camp site in a suburb west of the city. He was last seen on Monday while riding a motorcycle.
"We are suspecting that the tourist might have committed suicide. The body has been taken to hospital for postmortem. We are still investigating," said Simeon Nsubuga, a police spokesperson.
